What is sodium sulphate?

Sodium sulfate, also known as sulfate of soda, is the inorganic compound with formula Na2SO4 as well as several related hydrates. All forms are white solids that are highly soluble in water. With an annual production of 6 million tonnes, the decahydrate is a major commodity chemical product. It is mainly used for the manufacture of detergents and in the kraft process of paper pulping.
Function of sodium sulphate
Used as materials for synthetic detergent, glass, papermaking, inorganic salts, dyestuff, alcohol fibre, tanning, metal smelting, surface treatment and filler industries etc.
Application of sodium sulphate
Sodium sulfate Anhydrous is consumed in four major categories; powder detergents as a processing aid and as a filler, wood pulp processing for making kraft paper, textile dyeing processes as a levelling agent to penetrate evenly, and molten glass process to remove small air bubbles. In addition,it is usually used for sodium sulfide , sodium silicate and other chemical products,synthetic fibers,leather,nonferrous ,metallurgy,enamel and soap etc.
